spending the holidays at Gaylord Opryland
SO MUCH CHRISTMAS stands true to it’s word!

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Gaylord Opryland, however, opinions are of my own.
We spent our holiday at Gaylord Opryland last week, and SO MUCH CHRISTMAS was had! Ask me what our favorite event is this season, hands down my entire family would agree it’s at Gaylord Opryland. This is probably the one place that the kids continue to ask to go back to! We were so excited to visit for the holiday festivities!
our itinerary

We arrived a bit later in the evening due to crazy traffic, so we decided to eat first and then explore the resort. Right away we were blown by the Christmas decorations near the Cascades as soon as you walk in. It even smelled like Christmas! Looking out from our room, the view was incredible. Along the way to food we couldn’t help but take pictures!

We grabbed dinner onsite at one of our favorites, Jack Daniels. Let me tell you, this food is bangin! The best southern food, especially the greens!

One of the best things about A Country Christmas at Gaylord is the selection of country music performers throughout the resort. Of course my girl, taking after her Mama, ran right up and starting jamming out with Adam Carter. You can watch some of that footage here . It was the cutest!

We spent the rest of the night checking out the outdoor display, which felt like we were walking in a wonderland! It was magical! I always know when something is really good when DJ looks in awe. This was one of those moments! The nativity scene, the tall light tree, and lights on the already incredibly landscaped property was absolutely stunning. You could feel the love and spirit of the holidays! Watch the full views here .

a jam packed day
We started our day with the Reindeer Games Scavenger Hunt featuring Rudolph and The Misfit Toy this was so fun, as it leads you around the resort. We hopped on the Riverboat Ride to grab a couple of the clues. A ride on the river is always fun, and always a friend maker for us! Wynter took a family photo with her new “family” LOL. You’ll have to watch the video footage to see!

We did a bit more exploring and taking photos. There were so many gorgeous and fun spots for photos! Consider all of your Christmas photos DONE when you’re here! There are too many ways to photograph your family pajama photo! Two of our favorite spots were the big Teddy Bear, and the huge Christmas tree that is about 48 feet tall! Such an eye catcher, and definitely the spot to be for photos!

Wynter received so many compliments on this cute outfit. Her ears were from Dollar Tree; dress is of course from our favorite shop Mia Miel Clothing. You can shop and sign up for texts on dress releases here and join their Facebook VIP page here ; and cowboy boots are from Target .

We finally made our way to Pinetop, which is the area on the resort where most of the big attractions are located. We started at the Snowball build and blast where you get buckets of snow and aim at targets. In our case with Daddy present, take aim at each other! Watch video here .

Next we did ice skating, which was a blast and highly anticipated by the kids. They had so much fun ice skating a couple weeks prior, they couldn’t wait to do it again! What I loved about skating this time around is that the kids had the skating helper available, so Wynter could sit and Jionni could use it to help move. Still many falls but also all the laughs. I was able to skate this time as well, yay!

Afterward we got on the bumper cars, which is also located on Pinetop an then had to run to our room to get the hats and gloves we forgot for ICE! It gave us a chance to regroup for a second as well, as Wynter had fallen asleep on the way back up to the room. We grabbed our things and headed back out!

ICE! has returned back to Gaylord after 2 years, and boy was it fun! Every sculpture is hand-carved by talented artisans and kept frozen in room temps below freezing, hence the #blueparka that is given to all guests. If going through with a baby, they also provide a really thick blanket to keep them warm. I love that we were able to bring our stroller through, and Golden slept comfortably and warm .
I have written an entire post about this unique experience that you can check out here ! There is so much to say about this, that it deserves it’s own article. Check out the video footage {here}.

We grabbed some hot chocolate to warm up and headed over to the snow tubes, which was Wynter’s favorite ride of the day! She was so proud of herself for being able to go on by herself and pulling the tube to the top. She rode this at least 20 times. Her smile was everything! You can watch us having fun on these tubes here .

We headed back to change and make it to the light show over at the Delta Atrium. We had previously missed these shows so I made a point that we see the Christmas one, which was nothing short of beautiful! By this time the lights were all bright has the resort had darkened. It was breathtaking, and we scored more Christmas photos!

We spent our last day at making gingerbread house at the Gingerbread Corner with Nutmeg the Ginger Bread! This was the perfect activity to relax a little from the day prior. Wynter was star struck by the gingerbread and ran to give him a hug! You can see how stunned with joy she is in this photo. She was so excited.

During the gingerbread house making, she ran to Nutmeg when he walked through the area and showed Nutmeg who her Mom was, and brought him over to me. It was the cutest!
After the gingerbread making we walked around a little more for more pictures, and headed out to visit family in North Carolina, as it was Thanksgiving Day! Usually we end it with Soundwaves relaxation, but didn’t have the time this time around.
